O Arraial d'Ajuda is a district of Porto Seguro, coast south of Bahia. The small village was inhabited by Indians, was developed by the Portuguese who arrived here in the 16th century and rediscovered by the hippies in the 70s. There are paradisiacal beaches, lush nature and rustic and charming buildings in a very cozy and hospitable environment.
It attracts tourists from all over the world and is considered a meeting point for artists, writers, musicians. It offers amazing attractions and services for all age groups. The area code is 73 and the zip code 45816-000. Now the voltage is 220 volts.

In the historic center is the historic Church of Nossa Senhora d'Ajuda, Shrine built in 1551, located in a wonderful viewpoint overlooking the sea, where you can tie the ribbons with your wishes, in addition to small and colorful houses that house several shops, bars, ice cream parlors, handicrafts and services.
Also visit the crossing called Broaduei with several shops, restaurants and services. Highlight for the hippie fair from the square with a wide variety of handicrafts with great taste, in addition to constant musical performances in the open air.
In the extreme south of Bahia there are 17 Pataxó indigenous villages, the closest being those of Barra Velha, Boca da Mata, Imbiriba, Meio da Mata, Aldeia Velha and the Indigenous Reserve from jackfruit. Some, open for visitation on request.
For those who want to venture out, there are ATV rides with paradisiacal trails through the cliffs and rural properties monitored by trained guides, cycling, paragliding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, stand up paddle and kayaking, available for rent on some beaches.
FIELD OF AVIATION CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY MAY 03, 1939
Inaugurated in 1939, the Aviation Field, located in Arraial d'Ajuda, also called Parque Central, celebrates its anniversary on May 3rd. Created to host the largest civil aviation event in Latin America, in celebration of the arrival of the Portuguese in Brazil, the Campo received, at that time, 22 aircraft. Among the distinguished guests of this historic event were Admiral Chateaubriand and the first woman to obtain the aviator's brevet in Brazil, the World Dean of Women's Aviation, Anésia Pinheiro Machado.
